The Making Connections Community site supports collaborative work around ePortfolios in Higher Education for meaningful assessment, integrative learning, enhanced connectivity, and reflective practices.
The Making Connections community is an online extension of our Making Connections Seminar program, which has proven to be an effective format for supporting colleges in planning and using ePortfolios. This blog serves as a structure for sustained partnership and learning: staying connected, sharing resources and supporting each other as we advance our projects and the growth of the field.
Making Connections community members can discuss various topics, share documents, showcase their campus projects, find and connect with other members, and receive updates on Making Connections seminars and events.
• AGORA: This is the discussion section, where members can post and comment on various topics around ePortfolio: Integrative Pedagogy, Faculty Development, Assessment, Technology, ePortfolio culture, and more. • SEMINAR: It has the most updated information on past and upcoming seminars, including handouts and presentations. • CAMPUS PROJECTS: This section is a new resource for sharing respective campus projects. Each campus maintains a profile, which can be used to highlight and update successful practice, showcase student ePortfolios and share new information about their projects. • RESOURCES: This section allows members to post and search for resources: Surveys and Forms, Rubrics, Articles and Conference updates.
