“Upside Down ePortfolios?” An Inside Look at ePortfolio Practice at an Australian University
The Australian ePortfolio landscape has transformed in the last 3 years seeing the emergence of innovative practice.This session will cover the Australian ePortfolio context and the drivers that are enabling Australian institutions to move forward with their ePortfolio development including cross-sector collaboration, widening participation, accreditation, and transition. Ms Harper will describe the QUT ePortfolio journey and the lessons learnt that have led to the breadth and depth of practice now realised in her institution. Practical examples will be shared showing the student experience and voice.
About the Speaker

Ms Wendy Harper is the Project Director of Queensland University of Technology’s ePortfolio initiatives and is the Director of eLearning Services. Ms Harper has over 25 years broad experience in the tertiary sector, with a particular interest the application of technology in learning and teaching contexts. Ms Harper’s work in the field of ePortfolios has acquired international standing. In 2010 QUT’s Student ePortfolio Program received national recognition from the Australian Learning and Teaching Council for Services Supporting Student Learning.
